if you want to do anything like a manga, the point where you'll struggle a lot is consistency between different images. and also getting the image to be exactly how you want it. In my experience AI gen content is a lot more pleasant when you just go with whatever the AI gives you, I've had the hardest time making it do what I want. Admittedly maybe I'm not doing things optimally, I've written picture books using stable diffusion, you can see them at yo252yo.com for reference.
that being said the public reaction will probably be your second challenge xD
As for stretching the definition of poetry, your production reminds me of what leftistgamermemes does, he works on twitch and posts on facebook, he's in an interesting place between memes and art collage, I suggest you check him out :)
Hey Yo252yo, how you doing? Are you still on Twitter/X, or did you dip from there? Thanks for commenting!
Agree with you that consistency is the problem when it comes to AI generated art, especially for something long form, as you say. When it came to creating the webcomics I posted on Substack for the ‘Ghost Lives: Cursed Edition’ promo stuff I had to generate something like 100 images for each comic before I had enough content to actually put into a coherent narrative of sorts. I dread to think how many images I’d have to create to produce a half decent manga, and even then finding some sort of consistency with them would prove to be a painstaking process.
Thanks for linking me to your site, and I’ll check out leftistgamermemes for sure.
For now im still on twitter but I do hate it, I'm awaiting eagerly for what will take its place but it seems increasingly likely that we'll just let the social fabric dissolve instead. That's part of the reason why I'm trying out substack, I don't know if I'll stick to posting, but I'll definitely stick to reading, I've been a lurker on this platform for years :)
